Reading Reflection No. 2
Mindset by Carol S. Dweck 1) What was the general theme or argument of the book? Researching about a belief about our midset. 2) How did the book, in your opinion, connect with and enhance what you are learning in ENT 3003? I think that it connects with having a positive mindset and believing in yourself when doing anything in your life. 3) If you had to design an exercise for this class, based on the book you read, what would that exercise involve? Design a project for the business idea that we had. 4) What was your biggest surprise or 'aha' moment when reading the book? In other words, what did you learn that differed most from your expectations? I think that was interesting when it said that our mindset controls what we are on our day-to-day.
Hi Emanuely,
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed listening to your business group. However, I would have used more appropriate clothing for your pitch and would have set your phone down and spoken as if it were a business presentation. Other than those minor details, you did a fantastic job. You did a great job presenting your ideas and used plenty of details.
Hi Emanuely,
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of your pitch but the presentation of deliverance could have been better. That being said, being an international student myself its really hard to find restaurants according to my taste and liking, which is why I feel a food street or a pop up restaurant would be a great idea where different cuisines can be served on the menu each day.
Hey Emanuely,
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of creating an international food hall! I believe this will attract an international crowd and American crowd. Although, the presentation structure was hard to follow and the video waas an odd distance for an elevator pitch. The clothing worn for the presentation could have been more professional as well. Though, the idea and pitch was relatable for me. Being from Miami, I am accustomed to being surrounded by many international food options. I think an area designated for international food trucks would work great for this kind of idea.
Hi Emanuely,
ReplyDeleteI thought that the structure of your elevator pitch was very well constructed, you introduced yourself and then proceeded to speak about the issue at hand and who you think shares similar sentiments about the issue. Your pitch could have been more professional in a few aspects such as the dress of the background and presentation, but the idea is there and just needs to be tweaked. I personally would love to have an area in Gainesville that focuses clearly on diverse food options.
