Halfway Reflection

1) Tenaciousness is a competency. What are the behaviors that you have used (or developed) to keep up with the requirements of this course?
The behaviors that I have used to keep up with the requirements of this course are time management and organization. I think that is the main behavior to be successful in this course.
2) Tenaciousness is also about attitude. Talk about a moment or two when you felt like "giving up." What pulled you through? Do you feel like you've developed a tenacious attitude during the past two months? What experience or experiences most contributed to this?
I think that what pulled me through was thinking about the end, giving up would not make things easier, it would just make things harder for me, especially in the future. I think just having that mindset will help you to push through whatever is going on.
3) Three tips. What are three tips you would offer next semester's student about (1) fostering the skills that support tenacity and (2) developing the 'tenacious mindset'?
First tip: do not wait until a day before to look at the assignments, try to work ahead.
Second tip: Watch the lectures and take this class seriously. It is a very good course, you can learn a lot.
Last tip: take time to do peer reviews and help your classmates. Also, take time to read all the peer reviews, that can help you a lot.

  1. Hey Emanuely,
I completely agree with you that time management and organization are essential to keeping up with this classes requirements. And it is very important to also have a good attitude about the class and life in general to keep going when the going gets tough. Having the ability to push past hardship and keep trying is a very important skill.
