Create a Customer Avatar

An unmet need that I found was the lack of international food in Gainesville, Florida. Gainesville is a college town where a lot of international people come to study or even just to leave there, but unfortunately, Gainesville does not provide them with food from their country. Gainesville also does not have anywhere where they can buy food to cook. There is not a specific type of customer. The customers will be from all over the world, so I cannot imagine only one type. What I have in common with the customers is that I am from another country and I live in Gainesville, I have the same need.

    Hey Emanuely,
    I understand your desire for more international food options in Gainesville, being there are currently a limited amount of international food options available. The idea for an international food hall would be wonderful, being that a consumer can head to the food market to enjoy a meal, or stock up on international meats, snacks, etc. This option would draw very much attention to the campus for international students, and students studying abroad. Though, I think you could have described your avatar a bit more. Which countries would be included? What are their favorite cuisines? What are their favorite snacks? etc.

    Hi Emanuely,
    I think that its really interesting how you described your ideal customer. It would definitely be someone who cherishes diversity and being international. There would probably be some students that would be more inclined than other to partake in this and maybe some students that are a bit more adventurous. I do agree though that there should be no particular customer.

    I like how your idea has now specific target customer. It gives you a lot of flexibility to make a bunch of profit from the variety of people who want diverse amounts of food. For my customer I have a diverse amount of people who can benefit my project too. I feel like it is always better when your idea can help many more other people.

Reading Reflection No. 3

What was the general theme or argument of the book?  Daniel Kahneman's "Thinking, Quick and Slow"  The general point around this book is that you have in mind two mechanisms that continuously battle for decision power.  How did the book, in your opinion, connect with and enhance what you are learning in ENT 3003? This book helped me more financially when learning about the two main mechanisms that conflict with my decision making.  If you had to design an exercise for this class, based on the book you read, what would that exercise involve? The exercise would have many problems that students would have to solve thinking fast. What was your biggest surprise or aha moment when reading the book? In other words, what did you learn that differed most from your expectations? Just learning to not overthink too much.
